Start with Local Network access, which is by far the most common cause. On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Local Network, and make sure the switch next to Galaxy Wars! - Controller is on. Then force-quit and reopen the app.

If the permission is already on, check the network: both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network and the same subnet. Guest networks, and networks with AP or client isolation turned on, block the devices from seeing each other. Some routers and corporate networks also filter the mDNS multicast traffic the app uses to discover your Apple TV.

iOS only shows that prompt once, and it will not ask again. The controller app will simply find nothing, with no error message. To fix it, go to Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Local Network, and turn on the switch next to Galaxy Wars! - Controller. Reopen the app and your Apple TV should appear.

The four-character join code makes sure only people who can actually see the screen can join the game. Without it, anyone else on the same Wi-Fi network could drop into your session. A fresh code is shown on the Apple TV each time - just type it into the controller app.

This is almost always a Wi-Fi issue. Move closer to your router, avoid switching networks while playing, and turn off Low Power Mode on your device, which can suspend background networking.

Congested Wi-Fi is the usual cause. Try a 5 GHz network, reduce the number of other devices streaming at the same time, or connect your Apple TV to Ethernet if possible.

Each player uses their own iPhone or iPad running the controller app. The number of players supported depends on the game mode you choose on the Apple TV.

No. Neither app uses accounts, and there is nothing to sign up for or sign in to. The DR Game Systems Portal is a separate system for arcade operators and has no bearing on the games.

High scores are saved on the Apple TV itself and stay there between sessions. They are tied to that one device - there is no iCloud sync, so scores do not carry across to another Apple TV, and deleting the app erases them.

There are no online leaderboards at this time, so nothing is uploaded anywhere. Scores never leave your Apple TV.
